Heartless

Sooo what did you think of this movie Diana?
Ok, so the basic premise of this weird, semi-generic horror film is that a man named Jamie(Jim Sturgess who is hot with or without a heart shaped birthmark) sees these weird reptile like looking demons doing crazy shit all involving Molotovs and killing and blah blah. Then some horrible incident happens involving a family member. Then some weird biker looking guy comes along and promises a depressed/angry Jamie a life he wants without a birthmark on his face as long as he defaces property...of course...this guy is working with the devil, so he sits on a "throne of lies" (Thank you Will Ferrell) So Jamie has to kill some peeps in order to not be sacrificed over to the devil. Along the way, some other shit happens that makes no sense. There's a weird indian girl who has no real purpose other than to be the cheerleader for Jamie and the ending leaves you feeling like they just unraveled everything in 5 seconds. That's the ENTIRE movie. Now you don't have to sit through it...
You're Welcome.

Only Reason Why I Didn't Hate This Film:
The acting in some of the film is very good. There is a scene with Jamie and his new neighbor/friend at a bar, and they talk about the past. This scene, along with a few others were well done...shame the movie wasn't.

Best Scenes:
1. Above described bar scene.
2. The scenes with Jamie and his father.
3. The last scene with Jamie and his mother.

Attention Harry Potter Fans!
As I am a huge fan of H.P. as well, a few of the stars pop up in this useless film. One is Fleur (from Goblet of Fire), and one is Peter Pettigrew (Timothy Spall) who only comes in for a few minutes and out-acts practically everyone else....they should make him a lead in a movie sometime...Buchemi defied the odds so Spall can too =)

Overall:
It wasn't the worst of dumb horror films, but I have no desire to watch this one again...I guess if you are a well known director you get stars in your movie even if it does suck. Bad form Mr. Ridley...I'll stick with The Reflecting Skin.

4.5/10 Stars.
OUTTTTT
